This large CNC lathe from Dongshi CNC is exactly what we needed for machining oversized workpieces—like 6-foot-long shafts and large cylinders. It has a spacious bed that accommodates workpieces up to 12 inches in diameter, and the powerful spindle provides enough torque to cut through thick metal. Even with large parts, the machine maintains exceptional precision—our latest batch of shafts had a tolerance variation of less than 0.002 inches. The machine also has a heavy-duty chuck that holds large parts securely, preventing movement during machining. It’s made oversized part production feasible for our workshop.

This large CNC lathe isn’t just for shafts—it handles a range of large parts, from large flanges to cylindrical housings. It has adjustable bed rails that accommodate different workpiece lengths, and the chuck can be swapped out for different sizes (we use 8-inch and 12-inch chucks).
